Dutchess County Sheriff's Nets 33 in Outstanding Warrants Sweep

Nine agencies participated in apprehending the suspects.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office led a multi-agency sweep that apprehended people with outstanding warrants in the county over the past month.

There were 33 arrests made for warrants with charges including felony driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal obstruction of breathing, assault and grand larceny and forgery.

The Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the New York State Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police, City of Beacon Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of Hyde Park Police, Town of Fishkill Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County Office of Probation and Community Corrections.

All arrestees were processed at the agency of jurisdiction. The subjects were then remanded to jail or released, with or without bail, by the local magistrate.
