Dutchess Man Accused Of Burglary, Sexual Assault

The man is being held in jail pending his next court appearance, police said.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A southern Dutchess County man was accused of burglary and sexual assault. State police said Dominique Gomez, 26, of Wappingers Falls, was charged with predatory sexual assault, first-degree criminal sex act, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and second-degree strangulation, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

The Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department along with the state police responded to a 911 call in the village Dec. 23.

An investigation found that Gomez had illegally entered a residence, demanded money and then physically and sexually assaulted the victim.

He was arrested and arraigned in Dutchess County Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail pending his next court appearance Feb. 20.
