Dutchess Man Accused Of Sexual Abuse

PAWLING, NY — A Pawling man has been accused of sexually abusing someone who knew him. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said Alex Ramos-Hernandez, 27, of Pawling, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony.

Authorities said Ramos-Hernandez was arrested Sept. 27 after being accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a victim who was known to him.

The sheriff's office said there doesn't appear to be a threat to public safety at this time.

After being processed, Ramos-Hernandez was arraigned in the Town of Pawling Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
