Dutchess Man Accused Of Stealing Daycare Provider Payments
Authorities said the money was taken over an almost two-year period.
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of stealing almost $30,000 in daycare provider payments. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said Curtis A. Parks, 48, of Wappingers Falls, was charged Tuesday with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
An investigation by the sheriff's office Detective Division, in conjunction with the Investigations Division of the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services, found Parks illegally obtained $29,817 in daycare provider payments between October 2015 and May 2017 by failing to disclose past arrests that would have made him ineligible to receive the payments.
Parks was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and released to reappear Nov. 25.
