Dutchess Woman Arrested With Counterfeit Credit Cards, Licenses

Police said she was also wanted by the State of Georgia for a probation violation.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A Poughkeepsie woman, wanted by the state of Georgia, was arrested after a traffic stop in Wappingers Falls. State Police said Jayana S. Stalley, 21, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with eight county of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and as a fugitive of justice.

Police said Stalley’s 2018 Toyota Corolla was stopped by troopers around 2:50 p.m. March 19 on Route 9 in the Village of Wappingers Falls.

During the interview, troopers found that she was wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia for a probation violation regarding a possession of marijuana with intent to distribute charge.

The troopers also said they found that Stalley had in her possession multiple counterfeit credit cards and driver’s licenses.

She was arraigned in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail.

Stalley’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 20 in the Dutchess County Court.
