East Fishkill Fire Station Loses Roof In Winds Monday

Wind gusts in the area were clocked in excess of 50 mph at times Monday.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — The copper roof of Hopewell Hose Fire Company No. 1 was ripped off of the structure Monday afternoon in East Fishkill.

No injuries were reported at the station off of Route 376, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

The region was under a high wind warning at the time, and wind gusts in excess of 50 mph were recorded during the day at Stewart Airport.
