East Fishkill Home Destroyed By Fire

One woman was home at the time of the fire and managed to get out safely.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — An East Fishkill home was destroyed by fire Sunday morning, but the sole occupant was not injured. Fire officials said the blaze around 11 a.m. on Stormville Mountain Road and was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene.

It took about two hours to knock the fire down, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

The home had working smoke detectors.
