FL Man Steals $130,000 From Nonprofit: NYSP

Police said the man took the money while he was the organization's CFO.

KINGSTON, NY — A man from Florida was accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a local nonprofit organization.

The New York State Police said James R Tisch, 64, of Del Rey Beach, Florida, was charged Tuesdaywith second-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said he stole more than $130,000 from a nonprofit while he was employed as its chief financial officer.

Tisch was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Denning Court July 20.

The state police were assisted by the New York State Police SIU - Financial Crime Unit.
