Flash Flooding Possible In Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley Wednesday

Motorists are encouraged to travel with care Wednesday evening and watch for changes in conditions.

A flash flood watch is in effect all for eastern Ulster County and Dutchess County through Thursday morning. The National Weather Service said additional showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.

With a very moist air mass in place, occasional heavy rainfall will occur with localized rainfall amounts of greater than 2 inches possible.

Already saturated ground conditions due to heavy rainfall earlier Wednesday could result in flash flooding.
