Flood Watch Issued For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley Saturday

Heavy rain and snowmelt are the primary concerns.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of the mid-Hudson Valley. The watch is in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 until 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25 for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.

The combination of warming temperatures and a period of heavy rain this evening into Sunday morning will result in runoff into area streams and rivers from the rainfall and snowmelt, the NWS said.

Some rivers will rise to at least caution stage or minor flood stage.
