The canoe he and two others were in capsized.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 20-year-old man who drowned in the Hudson River Friday after the canoe he was in capsized was a all-star pitcher at Arlington High School. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Evin Kleinganz.
Kleinganz was with two other people when the canoe capsized in the area of Norrie Point, the Poughkeepsie Journal said, and his body was recovered late Saturday morning.
None of the three were wearing life vests; the two others in the canoe were rescued by another vessel.
