Former Marlboro Teacher Accused of Child Porn Possession, Distribution

MARLBORO, NY — A 71-year-old Marlboro resident was arrested Jan. 12 and accused of distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

Thomas Albright faces at least five years and up to 20 years in prison and up to a life term of post-imprisonment supervised release, along with a maximum $250,000 fine, according to information from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District on New York.

Albright would also have register as a sex offender.

He appeared Jan. 13 in Albany before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart and was detained pending further proceedings.

According to the Times Herald-Record, Albright is a former Marlboro school teacher and had been serving with the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as the local high school swimming and diving official.
