Former Millbrook Mayor Accused of Having Sex with Minor
A Sheriff's Office spokesman said the victim was not a family member.

MILLBROOK, NY — A former mayor of Millbrook was arrested Monday after a two-week investigation into what police say was engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a minor.
Donald H. Briggs, 65, has been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, a felony.
Captain John Watterson said Briggs was accused of having sexual contact with a person under the age of 17.

The Sheriff’s Office said the victim is a non-family member and that, in order to protect the victim’s privacy, no further details about them or the allegations will be released at this time.
Briggs was arraigned before the City of Poughkeepsie Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
