Fundraising Site Set Up For Family Who Lost Barn, Cows In Fire
The blaze killed 47 cows and destroyed the barn.

ANCRAM, NY — In the wake of a devastating barn fire that killed 47 cows in Columbia County, friends and neighbors of the Millerhurst Farm in Ancram have set up a fundraising page. The blaze began around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Millerhurst Farm and required 13 agencies to bring it under control.
The cause of the fire which destroyed the barn is still under investigation, but there were no injuries to the general public or firefighters, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
One of the cows escaped from the barn.
