Goshen Man Accused Of Raping Minor

GOSHEN, NY — A Goshen resident was accused of raping a minor child.

The New York State Police Orange County Child Abuse Unit said Omar Cruz, 34, of Goshen, was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree rape, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

A joint investigation with the Orange County Child Protective Services said Cruz was involved in an ongoing sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16.

He was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond.
