Hannah Bocker '16 to represent The Marvelwood School at UN Conference

'Understanding Russia Today: A UN Perspective' is being organized by The United Nations Association of Connecticut.

On Sunday, April 17, 2016 the United Nations Association of Connecticut in collaboration with the Gunn Memorial Library of Washington, CT is organizing a conference: Understanding Russia Today: A UN Perspective. This program is an effort to shed light and understanding regarding Russia's role in the world today. Hannah Bocker'16 of Langrangeville, NY will represent Marvelwood School at this conference. Students from Shepaug Valley High School in Washington, CT, will also participate.
The program will start with Dr. Sergei Kambalov, a Russian economist and a former UN official, who will offer an analysis of the political climate in Russia today. Following Dr. Kambalov's lecture, students will represent and speak as Ambassadors from different countries to the UN Security Council and will try to expose their nation's view on Russia today. Hannah will act as the Russian Ambassador to the United Nations. This program is an opportunity for young people and adults to learn more about the complexities of the world that we live in.
