Hazardous Weather In Forecast For Mid-Hudson Valley

Locally heavy downpours are possible within any storm, the National Weather Service said.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Thunderstorms are possible in the mid-Hudson Valley Monday. To that end, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook.

The outlook is in effect for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon and evening, the weather service said.

Locally heavy downpours are possible within any storm, which may cause ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage flooding of low-lying areas.

Heat indices may reach the mid-90s in the mid-Hudson Valley Monday. A heat advisory may be needed.
