Hazardous Weather Outlook For Poughkeepsie's Work Week

It was a short break in the rain in Newburgh and Beacon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — It was a short break. We'll be back to high humidity, heavy rain, storms and possible flooding in the Hudson Valley by midweek, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

Tropical moisture will once again surge northward between a slow-moving storm and a Bermuda High (a strong area of high pressure offshore) for the end of July and beginning of August, said Kristina Pydynowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
