Hazardous Weather Possible Monday In Mid-Hudson Valley

Damaging winds and hail are the main risks.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties. There is a chance of thunderstorms Monday into Monday night. A slight risk exists for some of the thunderstorms becoming severe with damaging winds and large hail 1 inch in diameter or greater.

The National Weather Service said locally heavy rainfall may also accompany the thunderstorms, which could produce ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage flooding of low lying and urban areas. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]
