Hazardous Weather Possible In Parts of Mid-Hudson Valley

Some gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall are possible with any thunderstorms.

Parts of the mid-Hudson Valley could see some thunderstorms Saturday. To that end, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for eastern Ulster and all of Dutchess counties.

The NWS said isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon into the evening.

Some gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall are possible with any thunderstorms.

Ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage flooding of low-lying areas is also possible.

The NWS also said that there is a chance of thunderstorms each day through Wednesday, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.

Any thunderstorm will be capable of locally heavy rainfall which may lead to water ponding on roadways and poor drainage flooding in low-lying areas.

The combo of heat and high humidity may allow heat index values to approach or exceed heat advisory levels during the afternoon hours of Monday and Tuesday in the mid-Hudson Valley.
