HBO To Film In Poughkeepsie City Hall
Several meetings, through August, will have to be relocated, city officials said.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — There's been a takeover at the Poughkeepsie City Hall.
HBO will be using city hall facilities for one of its productions that will necessitate moving several public meetings, according to a news release from the city.
Changepoint Church will house the meetings, and HBO will reimburse the city for all expenses.

"We are pleased to be able to foster these efforts that give the city recognition and generate economic activity in our area," he said, adding that the movie industry is now generating millions of dollars each year for the mid-Hudson Valley's economy.

City Hall will be open for business during the production, but access to the third floor will be restricted, according to city officials.
Officials did not name the production that prompted HBO to take over the space where the city's Common Council meets.
However, a series called "The White House Plumbers," starring Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt and Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, has been filming in the area.
The five-episode series is based in part on the book "Integrity," which was written by Egil "Bud" Krogh and Matthew Krogh. It is also based on public records from the Watergate era.
Liddy worked with Hunt to plan and direct the break-in at the Democratic National Committee office in the Watergate complex in 1972. The events led to the resignation of then-President Richard Nixon.
According to Grant Wilfley Casting, filming for the series was to begin in May in and around Kingston, Poughkeepsie and Newburgh.
