Heat Advisory In Effect, Hazardous Weather Possible Monday
The combination of heat and high humidity may cause heat stress or other heat-related illnesses

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Parts of the mid-Hudson Valley are facing a heat advisory Monday. The National Weather Service issued the advisory which is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday. for eastern Ulster, western Columbia and western Dutchess counties.
Heat index values are expected to be 95 to 100 degrees with temperatures in the lower to mid-90s. Dew points will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
The combination of heat and high humidity may cause heat stress or other heat-related illnesses particularly to those most vulnerable.

Additionally, there is an air quality alert until 11 p.m. Monday for Dutchess and Ulster counties.
Because of the heat advisory, eastern Ulster, western Columbia and western Dutchess counties could see isolated to scattered, non-severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening.
