High School Senior Killed In 1-Car Crash In Dutchess County

This was the third time a high school senior died in a car crash before graduation.

LAGRANGEVILLE, NY — An Arlington High School senior was killed Friday morning in a one-car crash on Freedom Road in the vicinity of Frost Hill Road in LaGrange. Jennifer Dickson, 18, died after striking a pole around 11:30 a.m. as she was on her way from classes at BOCES to Arlington.

Dickson was studying cosmetology at BOCES and had a job set to begin after she graduated, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

This is the third year in a row an Arlington senior was killed just before graduation in a crash, the Daily Voice said.

School officials said counselors will be available Monday when classes resume.
