High Wind Warning In Effect For Dutchess, Ulster

Downed trees are a possibility through the afternoon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A High Wind Warning has been issued for Dutchess and Ulster counties Monday.

The National Weather Service said the warning is in effect until 7 p.m.

Winds from the west to northwest at 25 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

The weather service said the combination of wet snow-loaded tree limbs and strong winds will lead to numerous downed tree limbs, trees and power outages.

There could also be a rapid reduction of visibility with partially snow-covered roadways and walkways.
