High Winds Lead To Hazardous Weather Advisory

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a Hazard Weather Outlook for the mid-Hudson Valley for Wednesday because of high winds. The outlook applies to western Columbia, eastern Ulster and Dutchess counties.
West to northwest winds are expected to gust up to 30 to 40 mph through Wednesday afternoon, especially across the high terrain, the NWS said.
There could be isolated downed trees and/or power outages.

Also the forecast for Wednesday calls for slight chance of snow showers before 2 p.m. and between 10 p.m. and midnight, with an additional chance of light snow after midnight.
