Hit-And-Run Arrest In Orange County

A Port Jervis man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

GREENVILLE, NY — An arrest has been made in the hit-and-run of a jogger in early January. State police said Ismael Ramos, 21, of Port Jervis, was arrested Jan. 31 and was charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident, a felony, and failure to keep right, a violation.

The arrest was announced in a press release Feb. 8.

Robert Ruscher, 62, of Greenville, was on a morning run Jan. 8 staring on Rutgers Creek Road.

After making several turns, he eventually was on Monahan Road, but then turned around to return home.

Police said the last memory Ruscher had was seeing a vehicle in the vicinity of the 100 block of Monahan Road between 6:35 a.m. and 7 a.m.
