Holiday Dog Food Pantry Accepting Donations In Accord

People who have been affected economically by the coronavirus pandemic are welcome to stop by the pantry and pick up food for their dogs.

ACCORD, NY — When times are difficult, such as during a global pandemic, it's not only people who need help.

Corners have to be cut and that means people sometimes can't always care for their pets as well as they would like.

Animals for Adoption in Accord is trying to help that situation by collecting donations for its Holiday Dog Food Pantry.

The organization is accepting donations of new, sealed and non-expired canned and dry dog food, treats, leashes and collars and toys.

Items can be dropped off at Wag Inn Boarding, which is next to the shelter, 4628 Route 209 in Accord.

The pantry will be open from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 19 and 26.

Organizers said that people whose incomes have been hit hard by the new coronavirus pandemic are welcome to come by and pick up food for their dogs there.

Animals for Adoption is at 4628 Route 209 in Accord.

Face coverings must be worn, and social distancing will be enforced.
