Holy Cow Chase, Unregistered Dirt Bike Crash, Lead To Teen's Arrest: Police
Cops tried to pull over the motorbike, but the rider fled at excessive speed, at times riding on sidewalks, according to Red Hook police.

VILLAGE OF RED HOOK, NY — Cops say an unregistered dirt bike has been impounded and the rider charged after a crash at an ice cream shop.
The Red Hook Police Department said the arrest of an 18-year-old comes after complaints from the public about unregistered and recklessly operated dirt bikes throughout the village.
On Sunday, around 7:45 p.m. a patrol officer spotted an unregistered dirt bike going south on Linden Avenue. The officer tried to stop the motorcycle, but the rider instead took off, according to police. A second officer saw the dirt bike on south Broadway and also tried to pull over the rider, but the motorcycle fled south on South Broadway at excessive speed and riding on the sidewalks, police said.

When the rider attempted to cut through the Holy Cow parking lot, he lost control of the bike and crashed. He was then taken into custody. The dirt bike was impounded and the rider was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, and reckless driving (as well as a slew of traffic violations). The teenager was processed and released with a future court date.
