Homeless Man Threatens To Shoot Up Beacon Barbershop: Police

There was an argument between the suspect and the barbershop's employees.

BEACON, NY — A homeless man threatened to shoot up a Beacon barbershop Friday while brandishing a handgun. Police said Kyle-Ray Stuyvesant, 28, was charged with two felonies — second-degree criminal possession and use of a weapon — and misdemeanor second-degree menacing.

The incident followed an argument between Stuyvesant and barbershop employees, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

He fled the shop, but was stopped and held by an off-duty corrections officer until police arrived.
