Hudson Valley Camp Counselor Charged With Rape
Police said the victim was a counselor at the camp as well.

COPAKE, NY — A camp counselor in the Hudson Valley was accused of raping another camp counselor. State police charged Saury Minaya, 24, of the Dominican Republic, with first-degree rape, a felony.
Around 1 p.m. July 22, troopers and investigators from the Livingston barracks responded to Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp on Empire Road in the Town of Copake for a report of sexual assault.
The police investigation found that Minaya and the victim were both counselors at the camp.

Police said no children at the camp were endangered.
Minaya was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
