Hudson Valley Doctor Accused of Illegally Selling Prescriptions Found Dead
He had been on house arrest in Orange County.

GOSHEN, NY — The Hudson Valley doctor who was accused of illegally selling pain pill prescriptions was found dead in his Orange County home Friday.
Alfred Ramirez was awaiting trial on federal drug and conspiracy charges and had been on house arrest, according to the Journal News.
Ramirez, a psychiatrist who had practices in Orange and Dutchess counties, was arrested October 1, 2015.

Authorities said the death of a Yonkers teacher in March 2015 was connected to an illegal operation run by Ramirez.
The cause and manner of death is pending an autopsy.
