Hudson Valley Weather: When To Plan Outdoor Weekend Fall Fun
A frost advisory is in place for parts of the Hudson Valley, according to meteorologists.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The region is expected to enjoy pleasant weather this coming weekend, ideal for outdoor fall activities like hiking, apple picking or haunted thrills.
Brian Frugis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based in Albany, said today and Friday will be dry and sunny, with temperatures on the cool side.
Daytime highs on Thursday and Friday will be in the 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

It has issued a frost advisory from 11 p.m. tonight through 10 a.m. Friday morning for the mid-to-upper Hudson Valley area.
“The weekend temperatures will be milder, into the mid-60s on Saturday and the upper 60s to the low 70s on Sunday,” Frugis said.

Saturday is expected to be partly sunny and dry, then cloudiness will increase on Sunday, with showers possible later on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
“Both Saturday and Sunday are looking pretty good for outdoor activities,” Frugis said. “Sunday will be the warmer day of the two, but it brings a chance of rain, though likely not until after sunset.”

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44.
Sunday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night: Showers likely, mainly after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
