Hudson Valley Woman Latest Lottery Millionaire

She won $2,500 a week for life.

WALLKILL, NY — A routine stop for coffee, and taking a chance buying a scratch-off Lottery ticket she doesn’t normally buy, has netted a Wallkill woman $2.5 million. Yvette Moscatello, 39, of Wallkill, purchased a “$2,500 a Week for Life” scratch-off ticket at the Stewart’s Shops on Route 32 in Modena.

“I don’t normally play the life tickets,” she said. “Those are my husband’s games. He always plays them.”

Moscatello said the bright and colorful ticket stood out to her and that’s why she bought it.

After scratching the ticket the next evening, at first she said she didn’t realize she was an instant millionaire.

“I ran to get my husband and we couldn’t believe it,” Moscatello said. “We must have looked at the ticket a hundred times just to make sure.”
