Jacobson Takes 104th Assembly District Democratic Primary

He will face Republican Town of Newburgh Councilman Scott Manley in November.

NEWBURGH, NY — In a five-way race to fill the seat of the late Assemblyman Frank Skartados, Jonathan Jacobson, a member of the Newburgh city council, took the top spot during Thursday's primary and will appear on the Democratic Party line for the 104th Assembly District in November.

According to unofficial results, Jacobson got 26.4 percent of the votes.

Second was Orange County Legislator Kevindaryan Lujan at 21.23 percent; third was Beacon City Councilwoman Jodi McCredo with 20.05 percent.

Jacobson will face Republican Town of Newburgh Councilman Scott Manley in November.

The 104th Assembly District contains parts of Ulster and Orange counties and the cities of Poughkeepsie and Beacon in Dutchess County.
