Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hilarie Burton Benefit For Astor Services

The acting couple will be joined at the benefit by friends Mary Stuart Masterson, Paul Rudd and Tyler Hilton.

RHINEBECK, NY — An evening of spine-tingling tales — featuring a Hudson Valley acting couple — will benefit thousands of children and their families throughout the Bronx and the mid-Hudson Valley. "Ghost Stories III," a fundraising performance of spooky stories, is set for 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston.

The performance, starring Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who in Rhinebeck, will benefit Astor Services for Children & Families.

Burton and Morgan will be joined by friends Mary Stuart Masterson, Paul Rudd and Tyler Hilton.

Money raised through past events allowed for the renovation of several units in Astor's Residential Treatment Center, incluing bedroom, plus kitchen and common areas, according to a spokeswoman.

In addition to helping raise funds for the renovations through their Ghost Stories performances, Burton and Morgan also provided hands-on assistance, including developing finish selections and designs, securing pro-bono contractors and coordinating donated goods.

James McGuirk, Astor's executive director and CEO, said he was grateful for Burton and Morgan's many contributions and for supporting Astor's fundraising efforts.

"Their involvement, along with the work of the trade professionals, Astor staff and volunteers that participated in the renovations of our Residential Treatment Center, have given the children that live at Astor a welcoming home that helps promote comfort and healing," he said.

Tickets for "Ghost Stories III," which include a $6 processing fee from Ticketmaster, are $506 for premium orchestra seats and a photo, $56 to $256 for floor seats and $41 for limited balcony/student/senior seats. Tickets are available through Bardavon.org and Ticketmaster.

Burton, who is married to Morgan, appeared in the television series "Lethal Weapon," "Grey's Anatomy" and "One Tree Hill."

Morgan is currently in "The Walking Dead" and is also known for roles in "Supernatural," "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Good Wife."

He is co-owner, with actor Paul Rudd, of Rhinebeck's Samuel's Sweet Shop.
