Jury Reaches Verdict In Killing Of Poughkeepsie Man
The man's girlfriend admitted shooting and killing him but said it was in self-defense.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Poughkeepsie woman who was accused of killing her boyfriend and father of her children in their town apartment was found guilty Friday by a Dutchess County jury.
Nicole Addimando, 30, faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison for the shooting death of Christopher Grover, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
She had admitted shooting and killing Grover in September 2017 but claimed it was in self-defense after having endured years of physical and sexual abuse and torture.

Addimando's sentencing is scheduled for May 20.
