K-9 'Rock' Sniffs Out Crack Stash During Downtown Traffic Stop: NYSP
The 32-year-old driver from Brooklyn was released, while the 30-year-old passenger from the Bronx was arrested.

CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — NYSP took drugs off the streets with a little help from a four-legged specialist.
The New York State Police said that on Wednesday, around 5:07 p.m., members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle traveling south on Mill Street, in the City of Poughkeepsie, for traffic violations.
Police say that the driver was a 32-year-old from Brooklyn, while the passenger in the front seat was 30-year-old Tajh D. Ford, of the Bronx.

NYSP K-9 Rock conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle and alerted troopers to the presence of drugs, police said.
A search of the vehicle led to troopers seizing approximately 63.8 grams of cocaine, 27.2 grams of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, according to NYSP.

The driver was released, while Ford was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell); felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and two misdemeanor counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Ford was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and then remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.
