Lane Closures, Traffic Slowdowns On Taconic

Motorists are advised that single lane closures and traffic slowdowns are expected on the Taconic State Parkway between Exit 45 (Noxon Road) and Exit 47A (Route 55 East) in the Town of LaGrange beginning on Wednesday, Sep. 5 through Friday, Sept. 7, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

A lane closure and slowdowns southbound are expected to occur between Wednesday, Sept. 5 and Thursday, Sept. 6, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

A lane closure and slowdowns northbound are expected to occur on Friday, Sept. 7 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes where possible.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
