LSHV celebrates new Goshen Office
LSHV officially celebrated the opening of its new Goshen Office at an Open House on Tuesday, July 23rd.

WHITE PLAINS – Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV), the only provider of free, comprehensive, civil legal services in the Hudson Valley, officially celebrated the opening of its new Goshen Office at an Open House on Tuesday, July 23rd.
In February of 2019, LSHV opened a new office in Goshen, to better serve residents of Orange and Sullivan Counties. LSHV already has offices in Newburgh and Monticello. The new Goshen office is staffed with an Attorney in Charge, five attorneys, and two paralegals, and the office primarily handles domestic violence, immigration, housing, and disability benefits cases.
In 2018, LSHV handled 2,908 cases for Orange County residents, impacting 7,075 household members, including 2,869 children. The organization handled 717 cases for Sullivan County residents, impacting 1,663 household members, including 590 children.

Sarah Maida, Attorney in Charge of LSHV's Goshen Office, said, “The Goshen office was opened in February of this year to reach clients who live in Western Orange County and may not be able to make it to our Newburgh office. As the county seat of Orange County, Goshen is a natural fit for a Legal Services of the Hudson Valley office. The office’s proximity to the Orange Supreme, County, and Family Courts and Orange County Government Center benefits our clients and staff. We are excited to join the Goshen community and expand LSHV’s services in Orange and Sullivan Counties.”
Other dignitaries and representatives in attendance included: Max Cordella, Deputy Chief of Staff, NYS Senator Jen Metzger; Doug Bloomfield, Town Supervisor, Town of Goshen; Hon. Carol Klein, Orange County Family Court; Hon. Christine Krahulik, Orange County Family Court; Hon. Timothy McElduff, Jr., Town Justice, Town of Wawayanda, and David Rabbitts, Constituent Services Specialist for NYS Senator James Skoufis.
