Man With 17 License Suspensions Tries To Run: Police

Police said there were two active arrest warrants for the man as well.

LAGRANGE, NY — A vehicle and traffic violations stop ended with the arrest of a Clinton man for trying to run from the police. State Police said Albert R. Cline, 34, of Clinton, was charge with resisting arrest, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, third-degree bail jumping and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, all misdemeanors.

On Oct. 29, around 3:15 p.m. in the Town of Lagrange, Troopers stopped Cline on Route 55 for vehicle and traffic violations.

He got out of the car immediately after stopping and ran to avoid arrest.

Troopers caught up to Cline in a nearby swamp.

Police said he told them he ran because he has 17 suspensions on his license and two active warrants for his arrest.

Cline was arraigned in the Town of Lagrange Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

He is next scheduled to appear before in court on Nov. 14.
