Man In Critical Condition After Setting Himself On Fire
The incident occurred at Waryas Park on the Hudson River in the city of Poughkeepsie.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 31-year-old man is in critical condition after he set himself on fire around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Poughkeepsie's Waryas Park.
City DPW workers saw the incident near the boat ramp and rushed to fill buckets of water from the Hudson River in order to put out the flames, MidHudson News reported.
The Wappingers Falls resident, whose name was not released, suffered severe burns to his head, arms and back, the Hudson Valley Post said.

He was treated at the scene by city fire and EMS personnel and taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.
