Man Rigged Phone to Record Coworkers in Restroom, Police Allege

Raul DeJesus Alarcon Martinez of Kingston was charged with unlawful surveillance.

The New York State Police at Kingston arrested Raul DeJesus Alarcon Martinez of Kingston, NY April 26 for one count of Unlawful Surveillence in the 2nd Degree, a Class E Felony.

A police investigation concluded that the 31-year-old utilized a cellphone to record female coworkers as they used the restroom at their place of employment in the Town of Ulster.

The restroom was only utilized by employees and not available to the public, police said.

Martinez was arraigned by Town of Ulster Justice Kesick and released on his own recognizance and ordered to reappear in the Town of Ulster Court at a later date.
