Mid-Hudson Valley 2020-21 School Budget Results
Voters this year mailed in their ballots for the school budget election because of the new coronavirus outbreak.
MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The 2020-21 budget for the Poughkeepsie city school district was approved by a healthy margin Tuesday. The $104.4 million budget was approved 1,554 to 769. All results are unofficial. Debra Long and Thomas O'Neill were elected to the board of trustees.
In the Arlington school district, the $224.6 million budget was passed 6,136 to 3,408. The transportation proposition was approved 5,846 to 3,660. All results are unofficial. Peter Bodnar, Linda Gaines and Dave Goddard were elected to the school board.
The $75.9 million budget for the Beacon school district was approved by voters 2,573 to 623. The board candidates were running uncontested.

The Wappingers school district has not released its vote tally as of Wednesday evening.
The Middletown school district approved its $199.9 million budget for 2020-21 2,360 to 647. Kevin Gomez, Freddie Williams Jr. and Nicole Hewson were elected to the school board.

In Newburgh, the $287.4 million budget was OK'd by the voters 4,132 to 1,698. Mark Levinstein, Carole Mineo, Darren Stridiron and William Walker, all incumbents, were re-elected to the school board.
