How did you come up with the name? Creativity is something that can't be automated, scaled or simulated in a computer. We love Kingston and we love the growth of the creative energy here, so we wanted a company name that celebrated it.
Why start a business in this town? We've lived in or near Kingston for over a decade each. Our company's mission is to use our creativity and strategy to help support our local economy. We love helping local businesses grow organically.

What business are you in? We are a full-service marketing agency that does a mix of branding, search engine and social media content and web design for our clients.
What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner? We are so busy marketing our clients that it's hard to carve out time to market ourselves. We try to put out one really impactful piece of content as Kingston Creative every month, but it doesn't always happen.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening? Figuring out that in our first year, 50 percent of our revenue came from within 3 miles of Midtown Kingston, and 90 percent came from within 30 miles. And hiring our first employee in November. (See Year in Review)
How does your business give back to the community? We've made lots of pieces of content featuring Hudson Valley businesses, natural attractions and landmarks (See The 51 Most-Instagrammed Places in the Hudson Valley). In October, we released a cats-and-dogs themed coloring book featuring local artists where 10% of the proceeds to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, in Delhi.
