Middletown Man Arrested For Fraudulently Using Engineer's Seal: NYSP
While pretending to be an engineer, he used his ex-employer's seal to stamp engineering plans, according to state police investigators.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — An Orange County man who police say passed himself off as an engineer is facing felony charges.
The New York State Police Middletown Bureau of Criminal Investigation says that 64-year-old William Sattler, of Middletown, was arrested on September 26, after a state police investigation into the fraudulent use of an engineer's seal.
Troopers found that Sattler was representing himself as an engineer, and he is accused of using the seal that belonged to an ex-employer to stamp engineering plans.

He was charged with grand larceny third degree unauthorized practice of profession, second degree criminal possession of forged instrument and first degree offering a false instrument for filing.
Sattler was scheduled to appear in Orange County Court on Thursday.

NYSP was assisted by the Orangetown Police Department (Rockland County) and the City of Middletown Police Department in their investigation.
