MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — With another hot and humid day on tap, there is the possibility of thunderstorms Tuesday in the mid-Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties for Tuesday.

The weather service said there is the chance for some non-severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening.

Locally heavy downpours are possible, but, thanks to dry conditions, no flooding is expected.

The forecast for Monday calls for isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny and hot with a high near 92. Heat index values as high as 95 can be expected.

More scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday night. The low overnight will be around 71.
