
NEWBURGH, NY — A Newburgh man was accused of having child pornography.
The New York State Police said Gregory T. Liston, 37, of Newburgh, was charged with two counts of promotion of a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years old and three counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old, all felonies.
The Orange County Child Abuse Unit in conjunction with the State Police Montgomery Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Troop F Computer Crimes Unit announced the arrest Friday.

An investigation was initiated as a result of a cyber tip, police said. Further investigation found Liston was in possession of child pornography, leading to his arrest.
He was arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court and remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff's Office in lieu of $10,000 bail, 10 percent of $50,000 partially secured surety bond or $10,000 insurance company bail bond.

Liston is scheduled to reappear in court Wednesday.
