NJ Man Caught In Dutchess With Cocaine: NYSP

Police said he also had paraphernalia used to divide and measure drugs.

LAGRANGE, NY — A New Jersey man was accused of being in possession of cocaine after a traffic stop in the Town of Lagrange. State police said Carlos A Rodriguez Garo, 27, of Jersey City, New Jersey, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sept. 11, troopers stopped a 2019 Toyota Camry on Route 55 in the Town of Lagrange for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

Police said Rodriguez Garo had about 4 grams of cocaine along with paraphernalia used to divide and measure drugs.

He was arraigned in the Town of Lagrange Court and released to the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.

Rodriguez Garo was next scheduled to appear before the court Sept. 12.
