NJ Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges In NY
Police said the man had concentrated cannabis, including candies.

NEWBURGH, NY — State Police arrested a New Jersey man on drug charges after a traffic stop on I-87. Mark C. McNulty, 34, of West Belmar, NJ was stopped in the Town of Newburgh for an equipment violation shortly before 11 p.m. April 18.
Police said they found probable cause to search McNulty and the vehicle he was driving.
McNulty was found to be in possession of about 33 grams of concentrated cannabis, about 13.1 grams of concentrated cannabis along with about 42.1 grams concentrated cannabis candies, police said.

Police also found him to have about 17 grams of concentrated cannabis candies, 55.4 grams of concentrated candies, 5.55 grams of concentrated cannabis candies, 100.9 grams of marijuana and 0.04 grams of marijuana.
McNulty was taken to the Newburgh barracks where he was charged with the following:

- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
- Unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation
- Four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor
- Vehicle and traffic violation
He was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Police said there was no return court date set at this time.
