NY Police Looking For Man Regarding ID Theft

The state police said the man bought two money orders in Connecticut with a stolen debit card.

BEEKMAN, NY — New York State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in regard to an identity theft investigation. Police said the man in the photos bought two MoneyGram money orders, both in the amount of $1,000.87, at the Walmart at 67 Newtown Road in Danbury, Connecticut.

The incident occurred Sept. 21.

The man used someone else's stolen Chase debit card to make the purchase, authorities said.

If anyone has information regarding the location or identity of the man in the photos, they are asked to can Investigator Melilli at the Poughkeepsie barracks at 845-677-7300.
